Group Activity: Legal Compliance in Audit Reporting #
Objective: #
This group activity is designed to strengthen participant understanding of legal compliance requirements embedded in the Code of Good Milling Practice (CoPM) and to practice audit documentation prior to the Day 4 Practical Mill Assessment.
Participants will integrate their knowledge of relevant legal provisions with visual case analysis to simulate real audit findings and documentation.

- Identify Legal Elements:
- For each photo, determine the relevant clause in the CoPM and match it with the applicable legal act/regulation, such as:
- Simulate Audit Reporting:
For each selected photo:- Complete the Audit Note (F06) by recording:
- Clause number
- Type of evidence (interview, observation, document)
- Legal reference
- Your assessment (compliance / issue)
- Tick the clause in the Audit Checklist (F07).
- If issues are identified:
- Raise an Issue of Concern (F08) if it poses potential risk
- Raise an Observation (F09) if it lacks strong evidence or is corrected immediately
- Raise a Nonconformance Report (F10) if clear legal violation is evident
- Complete the Audit Note (F06) by recording:
- Prepare for Reporting:
- Each group will prepare a short summary for the reporting:
- Photos selected and their legal significance. Indicate the Photo Number for Examiner reference.
- Key findings documented
- Type of report raised (if any)
- This will be reviewed by Assessor before the practical session on Day 4.

Purpose of the Activity: #
- To build participants’ confidence in identifying and reporting legal noncompliance
- To familiarize with audit tools: F06, F07, F08, F09, F10
- To simulate the mindset required during real on-site audits
- To reinforce the understanding of legal clauses embedded within CoPM and related Malaysian regulations
