MODULE 2: INTRODUCTION TO DOSH AND THE BASIS OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH LEGISLATION #

  • Learning Outcome: The legislative power of DOSH before and after the amendment in Act 514 includes the Profile of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (JKKP or DOSH). Participants were also exposed to the main activity information of the DOSH under the main provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) including amendments to 2022. In addition, participants will be explained of the effects of the Factory and Machinery (Repeal) Act 2022 especially law enforcement under the Factory and Machinery Act 1967.

  • Learning Outcome: At the end of this session, participants will be able to find out the status and effects of road crashes including those involving road-related jobs. They will also know the importance of WRRS management as well as the requirements of the Industrial Practice Code and the concept of driver, vehicle, and commuting management. Finally, participants will be exposed to the ISO 39001 and ISO 39002 standards.

MODULE 8: MATERIAL STORAGE AND HANDLING USING WORK IMPROVEMENT OF SMALL MEDIUM ENTERPRISE (WISE) CONCEPT #

  • Learning Outcome: This topic will provide a useful understanding of the importance of systematic storage through safe work procedures for handling and transportation operations. Participants will also be explained on safe work procedures for heavy lifting operations and loading process.
