1. Training Overview

The MSPO Awareness Training was successfully conducted from 13 to 15 January 2026 through the Zoom online platform. The three-day public training programme was delivered by Mr. Mohd Faidullah Abu Bakar and attended by 14 participants involved in plantation operations, management, sustainability, compliance, and MSPO implementation.

The programme was designed to provide participants with a structured understanding of the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil Certification Scheme and the requirements of MS 2530:2022.

The training covered:

  • an introduction to the MSPO Certification Scheme;
  • the purpose, structure, and governance of MSPO;
  • sustainability principles and certification requirements;
  • relevant MSPO Standards and their application;
  • legal and regulatory compliance;
  • environmental management;
  • social responsibility and labour requirements;
  • occupational safety and health;
  • traceability and record management;
  • documented information required for implementation;
  • internal evaluation and continual improvement; and
  • the roles and responsibilities of management and operational personnel.

Exercises were provided throughout the programme to enable participants to apply the requirements by following the trainer’s guidance. These exercises helped participants identify applicable requirements, determine appropriate documented information, assess implementation gaps, and relate MSPO requirements to actual workplace activities.

The online programme was supported by Zoom attendance records, session screenshots, participant registration records, assessment evidence, and training duration records in accordance with the training provider’s online training controls.
