1. Training Overview

The MSPO Awareness Training was conducted from 7 to 9 April 2026 as a public online training programme through the Zoom platform.

The three-day programme was delivered by Mr. Mohd Faidullah Abu Bakar and designed to provide participants with a structured understanding of the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil Certification Scheme, MS 2530:2022 requirements, sustainability principles, certification expectations, and the responsibilities of personnel involved in MSPO implementation.

The training covered:

  • introduction to sustainability and MSPO certification;
  • governance of the MSPO Certification Scheme;
  • MSPO Standards and certification scopes;
  • legal and regulatory compliance;
  • environmental management;
  • social responsibility and labour requirements;
  • occupational safety and health;
  • traceability;
  • stakeholder engagement;
  • documented information;
  • internal monitoring and evaluation;
  • audit preparation; and
  • continual improvement.

Practical exercises were provided throughout the programme to help participants apply the requirements by following trainer guidance.

The exercises encouraged participants to identify applicable requirements, determine required documents and records, evaluate operational evidence, identify potential implementation gaps, and propose appropriate improvement actions.

3. Training Delivery Methodology

The trainer delivered structured presentations explaining the MSPO Certification Scheme, relevant standards, certification requirements, and implementation expectations.

Practical operational examples were used to make the technical requirements easier to understand.

6. Trainer Observation

The assessment average of 93.50% indicates a strong level of understanding among the assessed participants.

However, final observations concerning overall attendance and full programme completion should only be confirmed after the attendance discrepancy has been resolved.


7. Summary of Improvement Suggestions

Based on the indicative evaluation and trainer observations, the following improvement opportunities were identified:

  1. Include more practical examples using actual MSPO documents.
  2. Provide additional examples of certification evidence.

8. Recommendations for Future Training

Recommendation 1: Reconcile Participant Records

Before submission to the Scheme Owner, OSHISIS Solution PLT should confirm:

  • the correct total number of participants;
  • the complete Zoom attendance record;
  • the identity of participants eligible for certification;
  • whether the stated total of 2 participants is correct;
  • why only 4 participants appear in the uploaded Zoom report; and
  • why 22 participants appear in the assessment and certificate records.

Recommendation 2: Maintain Dual Attendance Evidence

Future online programmes should maintain:

  • morning and afternoon attendance forms;
  • Zoom-generated attendance reports;
  • screenshots of the participant list;
  • session duration evidence; and
  • participant registration records.

Recommendation 3: Maintain Guided Exercises

Refresher training should be considered whenever the MSPO Certification Scheme, standards, or procedures are revised.


9. Conclusion

The MSPO Awareness Training was conducted from 7 to 9 April 2026 through the Zoom online platform.

The programme was designed to enhance participant knowledge and awareness of the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil Certification Scheme and its implementation requirements.
