Occupational Safety and Health (OSH Risk Management) Regulations 20XX #

The draft regulation mandates that organizations conduct risk assessments in all workplaces/workstations covered by Section 18B of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994. Employers must use risk assessors to undertake risk assessments according to the guidelines provided in this draft of the Industry Code of Practice (ICOP). Moreover, documentation of all risk assessments and control measures must be kept up to date and made accessible for review upon request from the appropriate authorities.

Occupational Safety and Health (Safety, Health & Welfare) Regulations 20XX #

Several requirements are included in this draft regulation to lower the workplace risk of accidents. The following are the primary general obligations that employers must fulfill:

  • To reduce the risk, identify the dangers and put the control measures in place.
  • Make sure that the workspace’s design and upkeep prioritize safety in terms of layout, access, and egress.
  • Make sure the workspace, ventilation, lighting, and temperature are all in good enough condition to prevent hazards to one’s health or safety while working.
  • As far as possible, make the following facilities available:
    • Sanitary conveniences
    • Drinking water
    • Hand-washing facilities
    • Eating facilities
    • Nursing rooms
    • Separate prayer rooms for men and women
    • Separate rest facilities for men and women
    • Any facilities related to people with disabilities
